Graphic Design Specialist
Job Description
Join TerraPower LLC. as a Graphic Design Specialist in Bellevue, WA (onsite). This role supports corporate communications, brand management, digital marketing, recruiting, executive presentations, events, and stakeholder engagement by turning complex technical information into clear, engaging visuals.
Compensation includes a salary range of USD 97,517 - 126,646 per year (Washington State). The position is eligible to participate in discretionary short-term incentive payments, along with comprehensive benefits and time off.
What you will work on
- Develop visually compelling designs across print, digital, social media, web, video, and presentation formats.
- Maintain and evolve TerraPower’s visual identity standards and brand guidelines.
- Ensure consistency and quality across communications materials and touchpoints.
- Coordinate with vendors and production partners to support high-quality execution.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining quality.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand objectives, gather requirements, and deliver creative solutions.
- Organize and maintain digital asset libraries and design templates.
- Create event branding including signage, exhibits, trade show materials, environmental graphics, and promotional items.
- Partner with content creators on visual storytelling approaches that drive engagement.
- Create and optimize graphics for multiple digital platforms while maintaining brand consistency.
- Stay current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to elevate engagement strategy.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in-house or in a corporate environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Fine Arts, or a related field.
- Strong portfolio showing expertise across print, digital, presentation, and brand design.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Knowledge of motion graphics, animation, or video editing tools.
- Experience creating executive-level PowerPoint presentations and visual storytelling materials.
- Experience with data visualizations and technical illustrations.
- Strong understanding of typography, layout, color theory, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to communicate complex concepts through clear, engaging design.
- Excellent project management and organization skills, including ability to juggle competing priorities and meet emergent deadlines.
- Ability to work occasional evenings or weekends for major projects.
Preferred background
- Experience supporting communications, marketing, or public affairs teams.
- Experience in energy, infrastructure, technology, engineering, manufacturing, or other highly technical industries.
- Familiarity with motion graphics, animation, or video editing tools.
- Knowledge of web design principles and digital content management systems.

Work requirements
- Travel: 5-10%
- Work involves sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, and fine motor control.
- Minimal physical exertion; ability to safely lift up to 25 pounds to transport marketing items and set up booths.
- Work is visual and audio focused, with typing/keyboard time and a standard/sitting environment of more than 8 hours per day.
- Occasional work in areas with stairs.
Salary range note: The posted range is specific to Washington State. Any offer within the band is based on market data and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
