Motion Designer
Job Description
The Motion Designer role at MVP One in Chicago, IL is a hybrid position focused on producing high quality motion graphics and videos for marketing, product, and sales channels. You will translate briefs into engaging visual narratives in collaboration with stakeholders. The role offers a salary of USD 75,000 - 95,000 per year and requires a minimum of three years of experience. Local candidates who can travel to the Chicago office 2-3 times per week are expected to apply.
Responsibilities
- Design and produce motion graphics and videos for marketing campaigns, product demos, social media, websites, paid advertising, presentations, and events.
- Collaborate with marketing, product, and creative teams to interpret briefs and convert concepts into motion assets.
- Create animations using typography, icons, illustrations, video, and audio elements.
- Edit and animate video content, including lower thirds, transitions, explainers, and short-form formats.
- Repurpose legacy video and motion content to align with current branding.
- Maintain brand consistency across all motion and visual assets.
- Manage multiple projects concurrently, adhering to deadlines and production schedules.
- Prepare deliverables across multiple formats and platforms.
- Stay current with motion design trends, tools, and techniques.
Requirements
- Three to five years of experience in motion graphics, animation, or related fields.
- Strong proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Photoshop, or similar tools.
- Solid understanding of video production, sound design, storytelling, animation principles, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Experience creating motion graphics for digital marketing channels.
- Ability to take creative direction and iterate efficiently based on feedback.
- Excellent attention to detail and solid time management skills.
- Portfolio demonstrating motion design and animation work.
- Must be local to Chicago and able to travel to the office 2-3 times per week.
