Job Description

OpenX is seeking a hands-on Motion Design & Video Editor (Temporary) to support the creation of video content built for digital distribution. This contract role spans concepting through delivery, covering motion graphics, editing, and collaboration with internal teams and external production partners.

Role Scope

You will help develop and produce branded, digital-first video and motion assets for channels such as LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram, as well as CTV and web. Work includes end-to-end production across ideation, storyboarding, shooting, editing, and motion design/animation.

Responsibilities

  • Lead concept development, storyboarding, shooting, and editing for digital-first content across platforms including LinkedIn, YouTube, and Instagram.
  • Own projects from the initial brief through final delivery, balancing creative quality with speed and operational rigor.
  • Create and animate visually compelling motion graphics that bring the OpenX brand to life across formats and audiences.
  • Collaborate with third-party production agencies to execute campaign-level brand videos, providing creative direction and visual guidance while aligning output with brand standards.
  • Translate complex ideas into clear visual narratives, including sizzle reels, social teasers, and explainer animations.
  • Identify workflow improvements and apply AI-enabled tools to increase production speed and elevate quality.
  • Manage timelines and priorities across multiple concurrent projects while maintaining high design standards.
  • Stay current with visual trends across marketing and advertising.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in motion design, video editing, or content creation in the B2B Tech/AdTech space (agency or in-house creative team experience is a plus).
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, with solid understanding of video editing and social content tools, including common platforms and workflows used in motion and video production.
  • A strong portfolio showcasing motion design, static content, and video production range, with attention to design, pacing, and storytelling.
  • Collaborative, commercially minded approach with rigor around creative quality and video performance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously without losing context.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled production, editing, or workflow tools.

Engagement & Schedule

  • Contract timeframe: September through December, with an option to extend.
  • Starting structure: part-time contract (2–3 days per week) to build momentum and clarify production volume and direction.
  • Following phase: transition to a full week basis after initial part-time engagement.

Compensation

USD 44–52 per hour (contract).
