Mid-Level UI/UX Developer
Job Description
teKnoluxion is seeking a Mid-Level UI/UX Developer in Gaithersburg, MD (onsite) to support the NGA customer mission. In this role, you will design and implement user-centered, accessible web application interfaces, using modern front-end frameworks to deliver intuitive experiences for complex workflows.
The position requires an active TS clearance (with SCI eligibility) and eligibility to obtain a CI poly. You will collaborate across engineering and product teams to ensure UI/UX aligns with system capabilities while meeting usability standards and accessibility best practices.
What you’ll do
- Design and develop intuitive, responsive user interfaces for web-based applications
- Translate complex workflows into simple, efficient user experiences that improve usability and adoption
- Build and maintain front-end components using modern frameworks such as React, Angular, or similar
- Ensure applications meet usability standards and accessibility best practices
- Contribute to and maintain consistent design patterns, components, and style guides
- Gather and incorporate user feedback to continuously improve interface design and functionality
- Work closely with backend engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to align UI/UX with system capabilities
- Improve front-end performance, responsiveness, and scalability
Qualifications
- Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility, and eligibility to obtain a CI poly
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience
- Strong experience with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with modern UI frameworks such as React and Angular
- Demonstrated experience designing user-centered interfaces for complex applications
- Understanding of UX principles, usability, and interaction design
- Experience working in Linux-based environments
- Ability to translate user needs into functional design solutions

Compensation: USD 87,000 - 150,000 per year. The expected salary range within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is $87,000 - $150,000.
What’s ideal
