Job Description

Graphic Design / Print Production Assistant role at Minuteman Press Herndon, onsite in Herndon, VA, supporting visual concept development, print production, and online content updates across multiple platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing visual concepts through art direction, branding strategies, and collaborative brainstorming sessions.
  • Prepare and optimize digital assets using Adobe Creative Suite for print and digital media.
  • Support production of print materials such as signage, brochures, posters, and promotional items by coordinating with print vendors and managing timelines.
  • Contribute to motion graphics projects and video editing tasks using After Effects and other video tools to enhance multimedia content.
  • Oversee layout design, typesetting, and color management to ensure consistency across outputs.
  • Collaborate on website updates and content management with WordPress, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to maintain an engaging online presence.
  • Assist with photo manipulation to support marketing campaigns and branding initiatives.
  • Assist with digital art creation to support marketing campaigns and branding initiatives.
  • Assist with photo editing to support marketing campaigns and branding initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven graphic design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing digital design, illustration, and print projects.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), CorelDRAW, Sketch, Figma, and InVision for design and prototyping.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics, video editing (After Effects), and content management systems such as WordPress.
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript for web design enhancements; understanding of UI/UX principles is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout design, and sign manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas clearly to team members and clients.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
  • Eager to push creative boundaries while developing technical skills in a collaborative environment that values innovation.
