Graphic Design Manager
Job Description
Essity's Continence Care products in North America rely on cohesive design leadership to keep brand visuals consistent across markets. In this hybrid Philadelphia-based role, the Graphic Design Manager coordinates artwork from concept through prepress, bridging internal stakeholders and external agencies to ensure timely, brand-aligned design outputs across product variants and geographies.
Responsibilities
- Artwork Coordination: oversea end-to-end delivery of artwork and print files, from input gathering and managing translations to final artwork approval across stakeholders, and initiating prepress work.
- Process Management: coordinate parallel design workflows to meet timelines and keep deliverables aligned with plans; this role involves a transition phase and requires experience with artwork systems.
- Agency Collaboration: brief external design agencies, assign tasks, and provide structured feedback on artwork and concepts.
- Stakeholder Alignment: independently lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams across geographies, including Marketing, Packaging, and Brand, to ensure output quality, efficient processes, and timely deliveries.
- Design Implementation: adapt master designs across product variants and markets while ensuring compliance with brand guidelines.
- Quality & Compliance: safeguard high design quality and production feasibility, including print considerations and regulatory and quality requirements due to medical device classification in EU.
- Continuous Improvement: contribute to efficient workflows and cost optimization by identifying smarter design and production solutions.
Requirements
- Higher education in a relevant field, e.g., Graphic Design.
- Experience in graphic design development and artwork coordination, with a deep understanding of artwork creation workflows and knowledge from working in artwork systems.
- Experience with printing processes, in particular Flexo printing.
- Strong project management skills within a cross-functional environment, with the ability to visualize time plans and align on thresholds and milestones.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English.
- Knowledge of SAP is an advantage.
