Freelance Motion Designer
Job Description
Worktank is seeking a Freelance Motion Designer based in Seattle, WA (onsite) to produce motion graphics for corporate video and live or virtual broadcast. This role focuses on turning creative direction into polished visuals across both post-production and real-time environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and animate motion graphics for corporate videos, including graphics packages, lower thirds, titles, transitions, and other on-screen elements
- Build and prepare broadcast graphics for live and virtual events, supporting show clock requirements and real-time or playback needs
- Create additional supporting design assets as required, such as presentation graphics, event branding, and promotional materials
- Partner with producers, editors, and directors to translate creative direction into finished visuals for both live environments and post-production workflows
- Integrate client and stakeholder feedback across review rounds while maintaining a consistent design and quality bar
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional motion design experience, ideally across corporate, brand, or broadcast work
- Fluency in After Effects and the Adobe Creative Suite (including Photoshop and Illustrator)
- A reel demonstrating strong design sensibility and animation craft
- Strong command of typography, layout, color, and brand systems
- Clear communication, comfort taking direction, and reliability under deadlines

Compensation & Work Style
- Freelance hourly compensation: $75.00 to $95.00 per hour based on qualifications

Exceptional Candidate Profile
- Hands-on experience with live or broadcast graphics, including real-time playout or show-clock environments
- Familiarity with broadcast graphics systems or workflows for live events
- 3D skills using Cinema 4D, Blender, or similar tools
- Editing skills to jump into a timeline when needed
- Familiarity with enterprise or tech-industry clients and their brand standards
