Digital Designer
Job Description
Interactive Strategies seeks a Digital Designer in Washington, DC (onsite) to translate strategy into user-centered experiences and strong visual concepts for mission-driven work.
Responsibilities
- Contribute actively to the strategy process by uncovering meaningful client and user insights
- Shape thoughtful user experiences and compelling visual concepts based on those insights
- Apply design and strategy skills to exciting, mission-driven client projects
- Help push boundaries through visual design that remains both beautiful and effective
Requirements
- 2 to 5 years of UX and web design experience and the ability to get started quickly
- Maintain an up-to-date personal website portfolio with a large collection of inspiring work samples
- Design across a variety of styles and deliver unique yet functional solutions to common website problems
- Create elegant mobile and responsive web designs
- Develop logos and visual brand systems
- Collaborate comfortably, including participating in meetings with other departments and with clients
- Ideally have experience managing and mentoring more junior designers
- Work with writers and strategists on high-level creative concepts and participate in pitching work to potential and existing clients
- Bring additional strength beyond core design skills, such as illustration, typography, motion design, or front-end coding

Salary: USD 70,000 - 85,000 per yearly (commensurate with experience)
Minimum experience: 2 years
