Job Description

Paula’s Choice Skincare is hiring a Digital Art Director to own and advance the visual strategy across primarily digital experiences, with occasional print needs. In this hybrid role based in Seattle, you will lead creative direction end to end, partner with cross-functional teams, and help ensure every campaign and promotional asset reflects the brand with consistent quality.

You’ll guide concepting and execution for integrated initiatives, from early ideation through final delivery, while mentoring a small team of designers. The role also includes optimizing how creative work gets produced and staying current on design tools and trends to keep output competitive and efficient.

What you’ll do

  • Lead concepting and ideation for integrated campaigns, partnering with cross-functional teams to create innovative, on-brand creative expressions for target audiences.
  • Mentor a small creative team through guidance, feedback, and professional development.
  • Oversee creation of digital assets for campaigns, product launches, social media, email, paid media, and retail environments.
  • Collaborate with Brand, Digital, Retail, and other internal teams to align creative work with overall strategy and business objectives.
  • Manage the full creative process from concept to final execution, maintaining consistency, quality, and brand alignment across all touchpoints.
  • Find opportunities to improve workflows, streamline production, and increase creative efficiency.
  • Stay up-to-date on design trends, tools, and best practices to elevate team performance.
  • Support strategic planning by providing creative vision for broader business goals.
  • Handle other responsibilities as assigned by your manager.

What you bring

  • 8+ years of professional art direction and graphic design experience, including 1–2 years people management experience.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or equivalent experience.
  • A strong portfolio showing design excellence and conceptual thinking, including brand building and leadership across both print and digital campaigns.
  • Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and After Effects.
  • Familiarity with AI-driven design tools and 3D design software.
  • Experience designing for multichannel campaigns.
  • Strong leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to guide a team to deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a consistent ability to uphold brand standards.
  • Excellent communication skills to clearly articulate design concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.

Bonus fit

  • Professional experience in video creation, implementation, and graphic animation.
  • Working knowledge of UX/UI design and responsive web development.

Location and role details

  • Location: Hybrid Seattle, WA (remote eligible, West Coast only)
  • Hours: Typical PST business hours, some flexibility required
  • Physical requirements: Ability to handle both sitting and screen time for long periods
  • Travel: Minimal travel may be required for team meetings or events

Compensation and benefits

  • Salary: USD 120,000 - 130,000 per year
