Job Description
As a Creative Technologist, you will research, design, innovate, and prototype new user experiences across Tesla’s product portfolio. The role focuses on building high fidelity prototypes that help validate design directions and support product decisions across both software and hardware initiatives.
What You’ll Do
- Use expertise in UI design and software engineering to develop high fidelity prototypes for new user interfaces and interaction models.
- Make design decisions that help maintain a consistent design language across the Tesla UI platform, including in-car and mobile experiences.
- Plan, create, manage, and drive UI design projects from early concept through implementation.
- Serve as a liaison between designers and software engineers to provide feedback and protect design integrity across projects.
What You Bring
- Deep experience in interaction prototyping for multiple form factors and interfaces.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages and frameworks, including JavaScript, HTML, CSS, WebGL (Three.JS), React, and Svelte.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- 3D game engine experience is a plus, including Unity, Unreal Engine, or Godot.
- Experience interfacing software with hardware prototyping platforms is a plus, including Arduino.

Compensation
$159,600 - $239,400 per year (annual salary) plus cash and stock awards and benefits.
- Pay may vary based on market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Total compensation may include additional elements depending on the position offered.
