Job Description

American Express is looking for a Creative Director, Motion Design to lead OnBrand motion efforts within the Global Advertising and Brand Management (GABM) team. In this hybrid role based in Atlanta, you will guide forward-thinking, on-brand creative across digital and beyond, setting a high bar for quality, production, and collaboration.

This position centers on end-to-end motion design work that supports consideration for target audiences, while also overseeing other creatives in a fast-paced environment. You will bring a strong command of motion production workflows and the craft needed to elevate work across media, tools, and platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Develop forward-thinking ideas and deliver on-brand motion work across channels, shaping digital and beyond experiences from start to finish while creating assets designed to drive consideration for target audiences.
  • Manage other creatives in a fast paced environment, confidently navigating complex situations and projects.
  • Present and provide feedback on creative work in a corporate environment.
  • Create content that is on-brand and on-strategy, leveraging current platform trends while staying true to a brand’s style, voice, and aesthetics.
  • Elevate work to a high standard by applying deep understanding of production workflows as they pertain to motion.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience as a motion designer, with a portfolio and body of work that reflects that experience.
  • 2+ years experience managing other creatives in a fast paced environment, with experience confidently navigating complex situations and projects.
  • Experience creating content that is on-brand and on-strategy, leverages current platform trends, and stays true to a brand’s style, voice, and aesthetics.
  • Deep understanding of production workflows as they pertain to motion, with the ability to elevate work to a high standard, and a passion for craft across mediums, tools, and software.
  • Experience presenting and providing feedback on creative work in a corporate environment.
  • Interest in learning new tools and emerging technologies to optimize workflows and create efficiencies.

Expertise in

  • Visual Systems, Brand design, UX/UI and how they come to life through motion.
  • 3D Product design, animation, Rendering as well as VFX techniques and post-production pipelines.
  • Conceptual and technical thinking to troubleshoot and solve creative problems.

Location: Atlanta, GA (hybrid) • Compensation: USD 103,750 - 174,750 per yearly • Minimum Experience: 7 years
