Creative Director
Job Description
FP Movement is seeking a Creative Director based in Los Angeles, CA (onsite) to lead the conceptualization and execution of the FP Movement brand image across all divisions. In this role, you will guide and mentor photography and styling teams, while partnering daily with Marketing and Social to evolve how the brand shows up visually.
Role Focus
- Lead seasonal and monthly direction for brand photography and styling across marketing imagery, e-commerce imagery, in-store signage, and print catalogs.
- Represent brand imagery in cross-divisional seasonal trend concept meetings.
- Collaborate with Trend and Concept teams, plus Marketing and Merchandising, to build unique shoot concepts that reflect seasonal trends and weekly brand objectives.
- Partner with the Retail creative department to extend campaign imagery beyond the website through omni-level print projects, promotions, and retail/display signage placement.
Collaboration and Leadership
- Meet and communicate regularly with the President to review concepts and executions, prepare executive-ready presentations, and assess shoot results and feedback.
- Oversee the final customer-facing website creative for women’s and men’s imagery, including homepage and lookbook editing.
- Oversee a team spanning Art Directors, e-commerce and editorial photographers, stylists, and post-production personnel.
- Motivate and inspire the team, incorporating ideas into the overall creative vision for the FP Movement brand.
- Manpower plan development, hierarchy, and recruitment to support successful career paths for internal talent.
- Align with the President and Head of Marketing on seasonal branded messaging, including cross-divisional story telling to elevate larger brand messages.
Creative Oversight and Studio Execution
- Direct production planning across studio and editorial imagery, including scheduling, presentations, approvals, distribution, and execution.
- Prioritize, delegate, and multi-task daily within tight deadlines, aligned with business and marketing strategies.
- Research and gather inspiration while staying current on competitors, new methods, and trends applicable to the FP Movement brand identity.
- Develop studio and editorial workflow improvements to support increased and effective production.
- Maintain highly productive e-commerce studios across divisions, including on-figure, lifestyle, and still life product imagery.
- Collaborate with Art Directors, Studio Managers, Photography, and Post-Production teams to uphold image quality standards across each touchpoint of the photo studio process.
- Oversee freelance and agency support through a consistent roster.
- Continuously evolve the approach to e-commerce imagery to keep FP Movement industry-leading and innovative in emotional, elevated product photography.
Editorial Direction and Budgeting
- Conceptualize editorial photo shoots, including mood boards, casting, styling, hair and makeup, and location direction, ensuring alignment with approved seasonal concepts.
- Partner with Trend and Concept teams, Marketing, and Merchandising to develop shoot editorials tied to trend concepts, key marketing initiatives, and seasonal business goals.
- Help forecast annual budget needs for e-commerce and editorial photography.
Requirements
- 15+ years leading creative and studio teams
- BA, BFA, MA, or MFA degree in Arts/Fine Arts or similar field
- DTC experience
- Ability to manage a fast-paced environment and campaigns at all levels
- Leadership experience in growing, scaling, and developing teams
- AI or digital creation experience is preferred
Compensation
- USD 225,000 - 250,000 per year
