Art Director, Elevated Shopping

In this role, you will steer the creative concepting and on-set direction for fashion and product photography across multiple platforms, collaborating with teams around the world to deliver high-caliber, innovative imagery. You’ll contribute to brand partnerships and strategic initiatives within Amazon’s Elevated Shopping group, helping to shape visual storytelling that enhances the shopping experience across global markets.

Description

Elevated Shopping at Amazon enhances the customer journey through photography, video, graphic design, and usability-focused design. Supported by a global network in North America, Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, the team specializes in fashion and product photography, retouching, video and CGI production, image acquisition automation, and image support services. The group continually pushes industry standards to showcase millions of products across diverse markets.

Responsibilities

• Lead concept development and creative direction for high-impact brand partnerships and strategic programs, acting as a bridge between studio teams and senior leadership while coordinating with global Program Managers and business leads to meet key objectives.
• Own and manage a range of projects to ensure timely delivery while maintaining quality across all stages.
• Apply a broad set of creative skills to address both strategic and hands-on challenges.
• Develop and execute forward-thinking concepts across platforms, including large-scale events, creator-driven shoots, and production environments.
• Adapt rapidly to changing project requirements to deliver excellence from ideation through final implementation.
• Maintain a balance between big-picture vision and meticulous attention to detail in all creative work.
• Lead the creative concept development process through visual research, mockups, and storytelling.
• Direct on-set art direction for photo and video shoots by collaborating with photographers, stylists, and fellow creative professionals.
• Collaborate effectively within a team and contribute to a respectful, productive culture.
• Respond quickly to creative feedback and requests, adjusting approaches as needed.
• Occasionally accommodate international time zones to meet business needs.
• Lead and participate in ongoing improvement efforts to optimize workflows and outcomes.
• Drive teams to meet productivity targets and maintain high-quality outputs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of design experience.
• Online portfolio available for review.
• Experience with a range of design tools, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
• Experience in prototyping.
• Bachelor's degree.

Compensation

Annual salary range: USD 87,900 - 153,900 per year.
