The UPS Store, Bethany Village is hiring a Retail Sales Associate in Portland, OR (onsite) with an emphasis on consultative service and hands-on support across shipping, print, and mailbox needs. In this full-time or part-time position, you will support daily store operations while driving retail sales through thoughtful product recommendations and premium service upsells. Depending on experience and interest, you will also assist with client-focused creative/design work and help maintain a local online marketing presence.
What you’ll do
- Welcome every customer, identify their business or personal needs, and recommend add-on products, upgraded shipping services, and print packages.
- Handle outgoing packages accurately by generating carrier labels, managing incoming client mailboxes, and supporting day-to-day package receiving.
- Produce high-quality print jobs using digital copiers, large-format printers, binding machinery, and POS systems (full hands-on training provided).
- Assist customers with official document notarization, with Oregon licensing, training, and stamp expenses fully reimbursed.
- Keep shelves stocked, clean, and visually organized to maintain an inviting retail experience.
- Design, edit, and pre-flight customer files for items such as business cards, banners, flyers, and posters, and create content for local social media channels.
What you bring
- 1+ years of retail sales, consultative selling, customer service, or commercial print production (preferred).
- High school diploma required; a related degree, coursework, or certification in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, Graphic Design, or similar is a strong plus.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, or social media management tools is highly desirable.
- Upbeat, personable demeanor with strong communication skills and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Comfort standing during shifts and assisting with standard retail package intake.

Schedule and pay
Store hours: Mon–Fri 8:00 AM–6:30 PM, Sat 9:30 AM–3:30 PM, Sun 10:00 AM–3:00 PM. Flexible weekday and weekend scheduling available.
Pay: Competitive hourly rate of $18.00–$24.00 per hour.
