Retail Sales/Print Expert

At The UPS Store in Canby, OR, this onsite Retail Sales/Print role blends customer interaction with print support and practical design problem-solving. You will help customers choose the right products, process transactions through POS systems, and support store offerings while bringing wide format printing and graphic design knowledge into everyday service.

Role overview

As a Retail Sales/Print Expert, you will combine retail sales and customer service with graphic design and wide format printing solutions. The position focuses on assisting customers with both print and retail needs, operating point-of-sale tools for accurate sales, and maintaining an organized, well-presented store environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers and identify their print and retail needs with enthusiasm and professionalism
• Help customers select appropriate print options, including wide format prints, banners, posters, and custom graphics
• Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash register operations, cash handling, and accurate sales processing
• Provide product demos to explain printing capabilities and other store offerings
• Support store presentation by stocking shelves, merchandising products attractively, and keeping the store organized
• Answer phone inquiries using excellent phone etiquette, share service information, and guide customers effectively
• Upsell complementary products and services while keeping customer needs at the center

Requirements

• Prior experience in retail sales or customer service roles is highly preferred
• Strong background in graphic design or familiarity with wide format printing techniques is a significant advantage
• Supervising experience is a plus, indicating leadership in team settings
• Essential knowledge of POS systems, cash register operations, retail math, and cash drawer handling
• Strong communication skills, including friendly phone etiquette for positive customer interactions
• Ability to complete basic math calculations accurately for transactions and product estimates

Pay and schedule

Pay: USD $17–$22 per hour (listed as $17.50–$22.00 per hour). Expected hours: 30.0–40.0 per week. Work location: in person.
