Job Description

Senior UI/UX Designer role at Baxter in Round Lake, IL, focused on designing safe, intuitive interfaces for medical devices and digital health solutions within a regulated development environment.

Responsibilities

Design end-to-end experiences across discovery to delivery for web, touch, and embedded interfaces.
Convey design intent using whiteboarding, user stories, workflows, wireframes, and visual builds from low-fidelity prototypes to final designs.
Perform competitive benchmarking and user research to guide design decisions.
Collaborate with Human Factors to translate research insights into design improvements.
Work with Product and Engineering to define scope and deliver effective solutions.
Contribute to and apply design systems across products.
Participate in reviews and iterate based on stakeholder feedback.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in UX Design, Interaction Design, Visual Design, Industrial Design, Human Factors, or related field, plus 3+ years of UX/Product Design experience.
A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design and journey/service thinking.
Experience partnering with research teams, including Human Factors.
Proficiency in user research, interaction design, information architecture, and usability testing.
Ability to balance input from cross-functional teams.
Proficiency with design tools such as Figma.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Healthcare or regulated-industry experience; exposure to Agile environments is preferred.
