Job Description

Accenture Song is seeking a Visual Design Manager/Lead to shape visual direction and narrative across engagements, raising the bar for visual excellence and supporting a culture of craft. This is an onsite role in Arlington, VA, where you will partner with clients and teams to deliver high-caliber design work, contribute to proposals and case studies, and embed AI into visual design workflows to improve concepting, iteration, and production. The salary range for this position is USD 87,400 - 266,300 per year.

What You’ll Do

  • Own visual design direction on engagements, guiding work from concept through delivery for internal teams and clients, with accountability for design quality, aesthetic cohesion, and project timelines.
  • Translate abstract briefs, brand strategy, and audience insights into clear, compelling visual languages.
  • Set and defend a high visual craft standard across brand identities, design systems, motion, typography, illustration, and digital experiences.
  • Balance visionary leadership with hands-on execution by shaping key design decisions and producing high-quality output alongside your team.
  • Use AI tools to accelerate concepting, iteration, and production, while modeling how these tools enhance creative thinking rather than replace it.
  • Act as a leading creative voice in client conversations by sharing your visual perspective and turning design rationale into strategic narratives for complex, high-pressure decisions.
  • Document how AI changes your visual design workflows and quantify its impact on delivery quality and team performance to evolve practice-level ways of working.
  • Support business development by contributing to proposals, creating case studies from your work, and translating project learnings into thought leadership that highlights Accenture Song’s visual design capabilities.
  • Identify and shape new creative opportunities with existing clients, partnering with account leads to build a point of view around brand, design system, or experience challenges.
  • Manage, support, and mentor team members in day-to-day work, helping them strengthen visual craft, develop creative confidence, and grow into independent practitioners.
  • Participate consistently in the Visual Design craft by sharing methods, references, and outcomes from projects and contributing to the evolution of the discipline.

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of experience in Visual Design across a range of industries, brand types, platforms, and visual contexts.
  • 4+ years leading visual design engagements end-to-end, from creative concepting and visual strategy through production-ready delivery.
  • 4+ years directing brand identities, design systems, typography, motion, illustration, and digital UI with a strong and consistent visual voice.
  • 4+ years producing and directing high-fidelity visual work with exceptional attention to detail, including pixel-perfect deliverables and developer-ready specifications.
  • 3+ years managing or coaching visual designers, with a track record of developing contributors into stronger, more independent creatives.
  • 3+ years working in agile, cross-functional environments with product designers, product managers, engineers, and strategists.
  • 3+ years delivering high-caliber visual design work shipped at scale, solving complex product or brand challenges and driving measurable impact across customer experiences and business goals.
  • Grounded understanding of UX and experience in making key visual design decisions with UX depth.
  • Experience building and contributing to scalable design systems that maintain visual consistency across products, platforms, and channels.
  • Experience embedding AI tools and workflows across visual design practices from concept generation and mood-boarding to rapid iteration and team modeling.
  • Recent hands-on work in tools such as Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Claude Design, and relevant motion, illustration, or AI design tools. This role is not purely managerial.
  • Facilitation skills and creative presence, including the ability to present visual strategy and design rationale to senior client stakeholders and guide decisions under pressure.
