About this role

FSA Capital is seeking a hands-on UX and product designer to shape the buyer mobile app, agent and admin portals, and the end-to-end homebuying workflow. The role centers on product thinking, workflow simplification, usability, and effective developer handoff. This position is onsite in Flushing, New York, with a salary range of USD 68,000 to 80,000 per year.

Responsibilities

• Perform UX reviews to surface usability gaps and streamline product flows
• Convert requirements into wireframes, user flows, and polished mobile and web designs using Figma
• Define key UX states and edge cases such as loading, empty, error, and confirmation scenarios
• Provide developer handoff documentation, acceptance criteria, and design QA feedback
• Maintain design consistency across products and support usability testing and iterative improvements
• Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams in a fast-paced environment

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of UX, product design, or web/mobile app design experience
• Strong product thinking and problem-solving skills
• Experience designing user flows, wireframes, and app/web screens
• Proficient with Figma
• Comfort designing for both mobile apps and web dashboards/portals
• Ability to work from imperfect requirements and ask clarifying questions
• High attention to detail, especially around forms, workflows, statuses, and edge cases
• Clear communicator of design decisions
• Comfort collaborating with developers and supporting handoff and QA
• Practical, organized, and comfortable in a startup environment
