UX Motion Designer, Devices & Services Experience Design

Join Amazon in Seattle, onsite, as a UX Motion Designer on the Devices & Services Experience Design team. You will craft motion UX, animations, and motion studies for Fire TV experiences, collaborating with designers, researchers, engineers, and product managers. The role offers a competitive salary in the USD 117,800 to 160,000 per year range and the chance to influence experiences across devices and services. A bachelor’s degree in Animation, Motion, Interaction or Graphic Design or an equivalent design-related field is required, along with 1+ year of UX motion design experience.

Responsibilities

• Craft motion UX behaviors, systems and animations that orient, guide and add delight for customers
• Produce motion studies for user flows and leadership presentations with the ability to quickly iterate on multiple design solutions
• Collaborate with peer and partner interaction, visual, and sound designers in an open and collaborative environment
• Contribute to the definition and communication of motion design guidelines, development best practices and standards
• Adapt core motion primitives to optimize experiences for existing and emerging customer modalities
• Work with the product management team to develop a shared vision of a product or feature, finalize requirements and deliver motion design to meet objectives
• Partner with software engineers to leverage platform scale while preserving core experiential principles and customer intent
• Present work to multiple partner teams and design leadership for review and feedback
• Contribute to the broader design community to extend motion experiences across offerings
• Inspire other designers in the DxD studio

Requirements

• Have an available online portfolio
• 3+ years of professional experience as a motion designer or similar design role
• 1+ years of professional experience as a UX motion designer
• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Motion, Interaction or Graphic Design or equivalent design-related field
• Experience using design tools such as Adobe After Effects, Figma and other animation prototyping tools
