Job Description

Jolly Family Company, LLC is seeking a design leader to oversee graphic design operations across our Everett, WA and Lancaster locations. This onsite role focuses on consistent quality, production-ready output, and team performance through coaching, standardized workflows, and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead day-to-day graphic design operations for both Everett and Lancaster teams, keeping work aligned with production priorities and deadlines.
  • Create and modify vinyl and full-color graphics, ensuring designs meet production-ready standards.
  • Review and approve designs for accuracy, quality, and adherence to customer specifications.
  • Ensure artwork is properly prepared and formatted for output to media.
  • Perform quality assurance and proofreading of signage prior to production.
  • Assign work, manage team workloads, and monitor deadlines across locations.
  • Track team capacity, productivity, and performance to support operational efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to design team members.
  • Drive onboarding, training, and continuous development initiatives for the design team.
  • Run recurring design review and error analysis meetings to improve quality and reduce rework.
  • Develop, standardize, and maintain SOPs and workflows across both locations.
  • Communicate updates, announcements, and priorities to the unified design team via Slack and email.
  • Report performance metrics for Everett and Lancaster teams, including SIOP reporting.
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and customer service teams to support project alignment and execution.
  • Support cross-location collaboration and provide remote support as needed during business hours.
  • Identify process improvements and recommend enhancements to tools, workflows, and technologies.
  • Operate within and enforce company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
  • Participate in hiring and training, organize schedules, and oversee departmental workload.
  • Conduct timely, constructive performance evaluations.
  • Handle discipline and termination as needed in accordance with company policy.

What You Bring

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sense of design.
  • Thorough understanding of typography, drawing, and lettering techniques.
  • Ability to assess costs and quote prices for prospective clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or related software) and graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Strong leadership skills and strong organization with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of, or ability to learn, art and print methods related to the organization’s product and packaging needs.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; BFA in Art, Graphic Arts, or related preferred.
  • At least 3 years in graphic design required.
  • 1–3 years in a supervisory role in graphic design required.
  • Project management and managerial experience preferred.

Work Environment

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required: close vision, distance vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Noise level in the office is typically low to moderate.

Location and Travel

Everett, WA (onsite). Occasional travel to the Lancaster location, approximately 1–2 times per year.

Compensation: $34–$40 per hour.
