Job Description
Northwest Designs Ink, Inc is hiring an Art Director/Art Department Manager to lead the creative direction and production workflow for sports apparel and graphic design in South Bellevue. This is a full-time, onsite role with a salary range of $55,000 to $60,000 per year, designed for someone who can guide a team and keep custom apparel graphics aligned with brand and production requirements.
What you’ll do
- Oversee art department teams, including both design and art production groups.
- Mentor, guide, and manage a team of design and production artists.
- Partner closely with sales, printing, and the art production teams to streamline workflows.
- Ensure all custom apparel graphics meet brand standards and production specifications.
What you’ll bring
- 5+ years of design experience in apparel (sports graphics experience is a plus).
- Expert proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite including strong Illustrator and Photoshop knowledge (Photoshop is a plus), plus a solid understanding of apparel decoration technology and graphic production.
- Strong Microsoft 365 skills, including Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Lists, Planner, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
- Strong abilities in spreadsheet management, data organization, reporting, and project tracking.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow automation is a plus.
- Deep familiarity with current sportswear trends, athletic consumer behavior, and sports culture.
- A proven record managing employees, project timelines, and guiding junior talent.
- Highly organized and analytical, comfortable working with large amounts of data, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced production environment.
