Senior Manager, Graphic Design
Job Description
Senior Manager, Graphic Design role on REFORM Alliance’s Marketing & Communications team, focused on hands-on, execution-ready visual design across digital, campaign, and executive-facing materials.
Responsibilities
- Partner closely with the Manager, Digital Creative to produce campaign graphics, templates, and visual content for Instagram, Facebook, X, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn, plus emerging channels
- Design and update web pages, landing pages, and campaign microsites in alignment with brand guidelines
- Create one-sheets, year-in-review decks, fact sheets, event materials, and other collateral that communicate REFORM Alliance’s work and impact quickly
- Translate research, policy findings, and impact data into clear, compelling visuals for reports, social media, and presentations
- Design decks for board meetings, donor conversations, partner pitches, and press briefings, often with fast turnaround
- Produce simple animations, social cuts, titles, and lower thirds; support basic video post-production for campaign and social content
- Apply and help evolve REFORM Alliance’s visual brand guidelines consistently across all assets
Requirements
- 3+ years of graphic design experience; nonprofit, advocacy, media, or mission-driven exposure is ideal
- Strong portfolio covering social media graphics, presentation/deck design, marketing collateral, and brand-consistent design work
- Comfort with light motion and basic video post-production (After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar); ability to handle simple motion and social-ready edits
- Some website design experience; familiarity with WordPress or Squarespace
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Canva, Figma, or equivalent design tools
- Ability to turn complex or data-heavy information into clear infographics
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple requests and deadlines independently
- Genuine passion for criminal justice reform and REFORM Alliance’s mission; nonprofit/advocacy creative experience is a plus

Work Demands
- May require travel for key events and video shoots; estimated 4–6 days/year
- Rapid-response campaigns may require non-traditional hours, including evenings and weekends; non-traditional hours may be required 4–6 times/month
Additional Requirements
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- RE:FORM does not offer employment visa sponsorship
- Live within commuting distance of New York City (midtown) and able to work in-person five (5) days per week
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary: USD 101,900 - 118,000 per year
- Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and other ancillary options
- Paid Time Off: 20 days during the first year, plus org-wide holidays (11) and winter shutdown during the last week of December
- 401(k): 4% match after 30 days of employment
- Health insurance premium coverage: employees have 100% coverage (health, vision, dental)
- Cell phone reimbursement: $75.00 monthly
- Organization reserves the right to change benefits at any time
- Salary is based on prior work experience and assessment of fit; likely range is $101,900–$118,000
- Base salaries are positioned competitively based on the 75th percentile of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size, with opportunities for salary growth over time
