Job Description
inGenius Summer Camp is seeking a STEM Summer Camp Lead Teacher to guide hands-on Digital Art, Graphic Design, and Java Programming activities for students aged 8–15. This onsite contract role operates in the Carmel Valley area of San Diego, delivering a dynamic, hands-on learning experience that blends creativity with problem solving during a focused summer program. The position runs from June 1 to July 24, 2026, with a commitment of 12–25 hours per week.
Responsibilities
- Lead engaging, hands-on STEM activities for students ages 8–15 (grades 3–10)
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Plan and deliver structured lessons and manage daily classroom activities
- Maintain an organized, safe, and clean classroom space
- Encourage creativity, curiosity, and problem-solving
Requirements
- Experience working with children (ages 8–15) in a classroom, camp, or similar setting
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to keep students engaged
- Bachelor’s degree or relevant coursework in a STEAM field or education (preferred)
- Creative, adaptable, and dependable with a collaborative mindset
- Passion for building, tinkering, and hands-on learning
