Sr. Manager, Brand Design
Job Description
Belk is hiring a Senior Manager, Brand Design to lead the development and execution of design for seasonal, monthly, and promotional marketing campaigns across print, store, and digital channels. This hybrid role in New York, NY blends hands-on creative direction with cross-functional collaboration, helping strengthen consistent brand expression and high design standards while leading a team of graphic designers.
What you’ll do
- Lead design development and execution for integrated marketing campaigns across print, digital, ecommerce, email, social media, and other customer-facing channels
- Partner with Marketing, Merchandising, Ecommerce, Stores, and Creative Services to develop campaign concepts aligned to seasonal strategies and business objectives
- Translate business goals and marketing strategies into visual storytelling and customer-focused design solutions
- Ensure design requirements are integrated throughout production by providing consistent feedback, including QA, to team members and business partners
- Oversee creation of campaign assets, including layouts, digital content, photography, and motion graphics
- Develop and maintain campaign style guides, templates, and design standards to support brand consistency across touchpoints
- Monitor emerging design trends, technologies, and best practices to drive innovation and creative excellence
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of designers to grow Belk creative talent
- Work from a designated hybrid in-office schedule
- Travel is required monthly (including travel for photography shoots and other needs as required)
What you bring
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Background in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Marketing Design, Fine Arts, or related field
- 4-6 years of print and digital design experience supporting multi-channel marketing campaigns
- 2+ years people leadership, mentorship, and team development experience
- 3+ years prior retail, fashion, or consumer goods experience
- Excellent knowledge of design, typography, and branding fundamentals
- Knowledge of print production processes and digital media requirements
- Ability to work at a fast pace, manage deadline pressure, and maintain a high level of accuracy
- Experience working cross-functionally and synthesizing feedback
- Problem-solver with a proactive, detail-oriented approach
- Strong people and communication skills with a collaborative mindset
- Computer skills including Adobe Photoshop (Mac platform), Illustrator, InDesign, and MS Office, plus flash or other digital software
- Ability to confidently present and speak to work in written and verbal formats
Compensation
Base pay range: $132,000 - $170,000 per year. Pay may vary based on achievements, skills, experience, or work location. This range reflects the base pay component of the overall compensation package.
