Senior Product Designer, Partner Marketplace

At Realtor.com, the Partner Marketplace team builds product experiences that support both real estate professionals and the consumers who work with them. As a Senior Product Designer, you will partner closely with a Product Manager and Engineering Lead from early research through final delivery, shaping user flows and polished interfaces that make it into the hands of 100 million unique consumers and real estate professionals.

This is an onsite role in Austin, TX, where you will collaborate across disciplines and take independent ownership of the design process. You will help improve user experience across your product area while strengthening the design system used for Realtor.com’s professional web and mobile apps.

What you’ll do

• Work with a diverse group of stakeholders, including researchers, product leaders, engineers, product marketing, brand, and other designers, to solve complex problems
• Serve as the voice of the user, exploring multiple ideas while knowing when to translate concepts into executable deliverables
• Deliver innovative solutions that significantly improve the user experience across products for your team
• Independently lead the design process from conception to completion
• Explain the value of design and the rationale behind design decisions clearly to Product and Engineering partners and other stakeholders, using language that is accessible beyond design teams
• Contribute to the evolution of the design system, including crafting components, auditing libraries, and ensuring quality in how the system is applied across the product
• Facilitate workshops, design sprints, and other collaborative sessions for your team
• Maintain a high standard for design excellence and help raise the bar for design across the company

What you bring

• 8+ years working in the design industry
• 3+ years working in a product-led organization
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• A portfolio showing strong design point of view and depth, including user-centered design methodologies, interaction flows, prototyping, high-fidelity screens, and shipped products
• Proven ability to execute across diverse priorities, navigating the context of both consumer and client-facing platforms
• Experience delivering multiple projects with cross-disciplined teams
• Strong, clear communication skills
• Informed and strong opinions, held loosely
• Practice of user-centric processes and design thinking principles
• Mastery of design thinking practices and craft
• Demonstrates a We, Not Me attitude

Role scope and team context

You will partner with the Product Manager and Engineering Lead from start to finish, beginning with research and understanding of user problems, then moving into scoping and the creation of user flows, and finishing with polished design shipped to consumers and real estate professionals. The role also involves comfort across interaction and visual design work, including contributing to the design system for Realtor.com’s professional web and mobile apps.

You will join a supportive product design team building tools and services for Agent and Broker customers, helping grow their businesses and support their clients throughout the buying and selling journey. This role reports to the Sr. Manager of Product Design.
