Job Description

Berry Street is seeking a Senior Product Designer to streamline the GLP-1 patient journey and build clinician tools that support prescribing and monitoring at scale. This role spans patient, provider, and AI-powered experiences, with direct access to leadership and meaningful autonomy.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead design end-to-end for the GLP-1 experience, covering discovery and research, prototyping, visual design, and launch
  • Simplify complex, high-stakes workflows across eligibility, insurance coverage and prior authorizations, prescribing, refills, and side-effect support
  • Design for engagement and retention so patients can build habits and stay on track over months, not only through onboarding
  • Define how AI appears in the product, including guidance, matching, decision support, and personalized moments that are useful and build trust
  • Prototype quickly, often using AI tools, and rely on working artifacts to align product, engineering, clinical, and operations teams to ship faster
  • Create clinician- and ops-facing tools that enable providers to deliver strong care efficiently
  • Use data, research, and conversations with patients and providers to inform decisions and continuously improve what is live
  • Contribute to and evolve the design system and help shape a team culture focused on craft and care as the team grows

Core Requirements

  • 5+ years of product design experience, with end-to-end shipped digital products, ideally consumer mobile and web, and a portfolio showing both process and finished craft
  • Strong craft and a high bar for detail, with excellent interaction and visual design and a “no detail is too small” mindset
  • Comfort with complex, regulated, multi-stakeholder problems, and the ability to turn them into experiences that feel effortless (healthcare, fintech, insurance, or other high-trust domains are a plus)
  • AI-forward approach, using AI tools to explore and prototype faster, plus a point of view on designing AI-powered experiences people trust
  • Generalist ownership, able to move across patient, provider, and internal tools, progressing from vague ideas to shipped work in a low-process environment
  • Collaborative, direct working style, with low ego, high conviction, and a willingness to seek feedback, challenge ideas, and drive decisions
  • In-office requirement in NYC, based full-time at the Madison Square Park office

About the Role

In March 2026, Berry Street launched its GLP-1 program, which has become one of the fastest-growing parts of the business. Many people still find getting on a GLP-1 through insurance confusing, slow, and intimidating, including eligibility, labs, prior authorizations, pharmacy logistics, dosing, side effects, and staying on track long term.

You will begin by focusing on the GLP-1 patient experience, designing across the journey from first touch and intake through prescribing, ongoing care, and long-term engagement, while also building clinician tools that make prescribing and monitoring work at scale. The role is designed for generalist growth, with the expectation that you will shift to where design can create the most impact across patient, provider, and internal surfaces as the business evolves.

You will work closely with the Head of Product and Lead Product Designer, partnering with engineering, clinical, and operations teams, with autonomy and a direct line to leadership.

Compensation and Benefits

  • USD 160,000 - 200,000 per year
  • Competitive base salary
  • Generous equity package
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Unlimited dietitian and GLP-1 care
  • 401k with match
  • Generous PTO
  • In-office near Madison Square Park
  • Citibike and One Medical memberships
  • Continuous learning opportunities and room to grow into leadership as the company scales

How They Work

  • Collaborative, direct, and action-oriented approach
  • Emphasis on having a point of view
  • Encouragement to push thinking, help make decisions, and move work forward
