This temporary, part-time Senior Motion Designer role at Dentsu Creative in the United States focuses on end-to-end motion design for campaigns, brand initiatives, and social content, spanning approximately one month at about 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

  • Lead motion projects end-to-end, from concept and pitch through design, animation, and final delivery
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors, Art Directors, Producers, and Project Managers to ensure on-brand, on-time results
  • Develop and maintain reusable templates, motion systems, and toolkits to speed up workflows and ensure consistency
  • Design content optimized for platforms such as TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, paid social, and other channels
  • Manage multiple projects with shifting deadlines while preserving quality
  • Source and mix music and sound for motion deliverables
  • Maintain brand consistency across all work in line with client guidelines
  • Contribute to the team's creative culture by sharing ideas, providing feedback, and improving processes

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of professional experience as a motion designer, ideally within an agency, studio, or in-house creative team
  • A strong portfolio or reel demonstrating breadth across social, campaign, and brand work, highlighting design thinking
  • Expert-level After Effects, including expressions, shape layer animation, and familiarity with the plugin ecosystem
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premiere Pro
  • Solid graphic design and typography skills, capable of crafting an appealing frame before animation
  • Ability to combine live-action footage with motion design seamlessly

  • Understanding of social platforms, trends, specs, and what drives content performance

AI IN YOUR WORKFLOW

Leverage AI tools to speed up your process by generating references, iterating on concepts, exploring layouts, and streamlining repetitive tasks. Tools such as Google VEO, Nano Banana, Adobe Firefly, Claude, Copilot, and others are evolving rapidly. Your design eye, animation instincts, and storytelling remain central, with AI serving to enhance speed and efficiency.
