Job Description

Senior Motion Designer and Editor in San Francisco, CA (onsite) earning USD 100,000 - 150,000 per year, responsible for post-production and motion graphics that clarify complex technology across Astranis's videos, product materials, and executive presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end post-production for Astranis videos, spanning marketing, product, commercial, recruiting, and corporate communications.
  • Produce polished motion graphics, animations, and visual sequences that strengthen storytelling.
  • Build reusable motion systems, templates, transitions, and graphic packages that reinforce the brand.
  • Collaborate with creatives, engineers, marketers, and leadership to translate technical concepts into clear visual narratives.
  • Contribute to creative development from concept through delivery, shaping pacing, narratives, and visual direction.
  • Manage color correction, sound mixing, finishing, and delivery across multiple formats and channels.
  • Help establish and evolve Astranis's visual storytelling standards and guidelines.

Requirements

  • 5+ years editing high-end commercial, technology, documentary, or brand films within a hardware or physical goods company.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating both storytelling and motion graphics capabilities.
  • Experience building and implementing scalable motion design systems and templates.
  • Expert knowledge of Premiere Pro, After Effects, Blender, DaVinci Resolve, and AI creative tools and workflows.
  • Solid understanding of typography, pacing, composition, and animation principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple fast-moving projects with meticulous attention to detail and solid project management skills.
  • Collaborative mindset and comfort working with cross-functional teams.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States under space technology export regulations; must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or other protected status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

  • Experience building scalable motion design systems and templates.
