What’s a Senior Motion Designer at Hook?
Senior Motion Designers are passionate animators who bring visuals and narratives to life through mastery of animation principles, fluency with motion design and video editing tools, and the ability to lead complex projects. They apply their craft to elevate Hook’s motion work while continually learning and expanding their skills. They work in close collaboration within a multidisciplinary team that includes visual designers, producers, and creatives, using their motion expertise to help the team solve creative and technical challenges. On smaller projects they may be the sole motion designer, while on larger programs they provide guidance and oversight to additional animators.
Within the Motion Department, Senior Motion Designers serve as role models and standard-bearers for work quality and professionalism. They actively participate in training and mentoring junior designers and contribute to building a growth-oriented culture. Because this client is based on the West Coast, there is a need to accommodate PST hours.
