Job Description
The Senior Creative Director at Falcon s Beyond Global leads a Creative Director team responsible for shaping guest-facing attractions, experiences, and environments across multiple theme park lands. This onsite role in Orlando, FL focuses on maintaining a consistent creative vision and narrative from concept through execution.
Role Overview
In this position, you direct and mentor creative leaders to ensure alignment across attractions and lands. You guide the development of attraction storytelling, visual tone, and narrative deliverables while collaborating with IP stakeholders, narrative teams, and cross-disciplinary design and production partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the Creative Director team during the development of guest-facing attractions, experiences, and environments within theme park lands.
- Manage and mentor all Creative Director teams to keep the creative vision, narrative, and guest experience consistent across multiple attractions and lands.
- Collaborate with Creative Directors, IP stakeholders, narrative teams, and cross-disciplinary design and production teams to support creative alignment and execution quality from concept through delivery.
- Mentor and lead the development of attraction narratives in collaboration with IP holders and internal narrative teams.
- Ensure story elements align with brand guidelines and contribute to compelling guest experiences.
- Guide the integration of IP into attraction concepts and execution across disciplines.
- Maintain awareness of creative assets and current design issues across assigned lands and attractions.
- Oversee the creation of storyboards, mood boards, key art, and narrative documents to define the creative vision.
- Ensure storyboard, mood board, key art, and narrative deliverables maintain a consistent look and feel across associated Creative Directors, lands, and attractions.
- Approve early-phase visual deliverables to confirm alignment with the intended look and feel.
- Collaborate with illustrators and concept artists to define the visual tone for each attraction or land.
- Guide creative development for marquee and interior signage to support storytelling and guest navigation.
- Provide creative leadership and mentorship across all attraction phases, including queue, preshow, load/unload, main show, and ride systems.
- Assign and manage designers to support alignment with the overall creative strategy.
- Review assignments and support Creative Directors to maintain alignment with the overall creative strategy.
- Review and redline design packages to uphold creative consistency and quality.
- Answer process questions as design packages are produced.
- Participate in “Page Turn” coordination meetings to support cross-disciplinary alignment.
- Support, review, and respond to feedback from internal and external stakeholders (e.g., CRS, ACC).
- Review overall park guest experience with Unreal Engine teams to verify visual quality and creative direction for digital assets across attractions, retail, F&B, and entertainment.
- Review BIM/Revit models with the BIM team to ensure creative intent is preserved through facility design.
- Partner with Project Managers to define team roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Participate in daily check-ins with Art Directors, Facility Design Managers, and Project Managers.
- Provide mentorship and direction to junior creatives and designers.
Requirements
- 15+ years of experience in themed entertainment, attraction design, or related creative industries.
- Proven track record leading creative development for large-scale themed environments or attractions.
- Strong storytelling capability and experience working with IP and narrative teams.
- Proficiency with visual development tools and platforms, including Adobe Creative Suite, Unreal Engine, and Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit and attraction facility design processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to manage multiple creative workstreams while maintaining alignment across disciplines.
