Product Designer II
Job Description
Sinclair Digital is hiring a Product Designer II in Seattle, WA (onsite). In this role, you will take ownership of product experiences from discovery through implementation and iteration, creating accessible, brand-aligned visual and UX solutions. You will collaborate across product, engineering, research, analytics, and stakeholders, while using tools like Figma and approved AI tools (including ChatGPT and Codex) to improve efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Own assigned product experiences from discovery through implementation and iteration.
- Build a strong understanding of users, business goals, technology, and product performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, research, analytics, and stakeholders to develop thoughtful, accessible solutions.
- Use Figma, research, data, and approved AI tools to improve design efficiency, quality, and outcomes.
- Share work early, communicate decisions clearly, and help grow the Product Design team.
- Create polished, accessible experiences that support Sinclair’s brand and meet user, product, and business needs.
- Produce designs with sufficient detail to guide implementation across platforms and screen sizes, including loading, empty, error, success, permission, and edge-case states.
- Create information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction specifications.
- Use research, analytics, feedback, and testing to understand problems, support decisions, and validate solutions.
- Apply design-system components and patterns to build consistent, intuitive, and scalable experiences.
- Identify gaps and improve, extend, and document reusable patterns across Sinclair products.
- Connect design decisions to user needs, product objectives, technical feasibility, and measurable outcomes.
- Clarify requirements and scope with partners, then use post-launch data to identify improvements.
- Participate across discovery, exploration, validation, delivery, design QA, and post-launch evaluation.
- Explore multiple approaches, explain key decisions, and independently manage assigned work while communicating risks and dependencies.
- Use approved AI tools for tasks such as research synthesis, ideation, rapid prototyping, documentation, and quality review, while validating AI-assisted work for accuracy, accessibility, brand alignment, bias, and technical feasibility.
- Support implementation with organized files, clear specifications, developer walkthroughs, and design QA.
- Maintain ownership of final decisions, verify AI-generated work, and follow company requirements for privacy, security, intellectual property, and responsible AI use.
- Communicate assumptions, tradeoffs, risks, next steps, and keep partners aligned throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide thoughtful, direct, respectful feedback during critiques and project reviews, and support less-experienced designers through constructive guidance.
- Seek coaching from Senior and Lead Designers to strengthen product thinking, craft, communication, and technical fluency.
Requirements

- Strong written, verbal, visual, and presentation skills.
- Experience using ChatGPT and approved AI tools to support research, ideation, writing, accessibility reviews, and documentation.
