- Lead and deliver design projects of significant organizational scope and ambiguity, often spanning multiple product areas and requiring novel approaches with no established playbook.
- Translate company-level strategy into design direction, influencing roadmaps and shaping the future of Meta products at an executive level.
- Design and champion experiences that raise standards for simplicity, elegance, and usability across Meta platforms, serving as a reference point for the broader design organization.
- Define, evolve, and unify visual and interaction systems that scale across products and platforms.
- Act as a recognized design expert across multiple product and business areas by maintaining awareness of industry trends and the competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions and tackle the organization’s most complex design challenges.
- Elevate the design practice through mentorship, sponsorship, and the development of frameworks that increase the quality and impact of the broader team.
- Drive executive-level partnerships with product, engineering, research, and content strategy leadership, aligning cross-functional teams around a shared user experience vision.
- Represent design strategy and rationale to senior leadership and cross-functional executives, supporting organizational alignment on product direction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years designing software products with a focus on user experience, interaction, and visual design to achieve business objectives.
- Proven ability to use research and data to shape product strategy and influence organizational direction.
- Demonstrated strategic product thinking at the portfolio or organizational level, including the ability to communicate a compelling vision to executive audiences.
- Deep expertise in prototyping tools and the ability to evaluate and advance design craft across fidelity levels.
Preferred qualifications

- Ability to shape cross-functional strategy and influence senior stakeholders across User Research, Engineering, and Product Management to drive alignment in novel, ambiguous product spaces.
- Expert-level prototyping and systems thinking for 3D interactions and spatial interfaces, including advancing tooling and methodology for the broader team.
- Pioneering contributions to the design of novel user inputs (for example: hand tracking, eye tracking, spatial audio) including defining best practices and patterns adopted across products.
- Experience setting strategic design direction for developer and/or creator platforms, with demonstrated impact on ecosystem growth, scalability, and long-term platform health.
- Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize or redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (such as efficiency gains or quality improvements).
- Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices, including risk assessment, bias mitigation, and quality and accuracy reviews.
- Ongoing AI skill development, such as prompt/context engineering and agent orchestration, and staying current with emerging AI technologies.
