Job Description
Product Designer focused on licensed home soft goods for Disney Experiences, onsite in Glendale, handling concept through production.
Responsibilities
- Concept, sketch, prototype, and deliver trend-right, consumer-centric home goods lines that balance innovation with value across multiple tiers.
- Advance product and licensed packaging approvals via online systems and collaborative sessions, ensuring character fidelity, storytelling, color, material, form, function, and profitability.
- Support onboarding of new partners into the design and development process.
- Develop product mock-ups, assemble line sheets for reviews, and prepare creative presentations and retail pitch decks.
- Collaborate with the design manager to refine and approve product designs.
- Coordinate product submissions for creative reviews and approvals with the design team.
- Organize and maintain product and market samples for reference and testing.
- Build and sustain relationships with licensees, vendors, and internal teams, guiding all creative aspects of development.
- Research seasonal trends by category and monitor competitors, product innovation, and market dynamics.
- Multitask and prioritize multiple design projects to meet deadlines.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of related experience preferred.
- Solid knowledge of softlines categories including home goods and home decor, covering materials, plastics, textiles, print, pattern, graphic composition, and manufacturing.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Solid negotiation abilities.
- Strong product design skills including 3D design, technical design, sketching, art manipulation, final mechanical art, and fabric/trim identification.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree required.

The Product Designer role focuses on the day-to-day execution of licensed product design from concept to production, collaborating with internal teams and licensees to create high-quality, consumer-focused, trend-driven lines across all distribution channels. This is a full-time position reporting to the Manager, Product Design, with a requirement to submit a digital portfolio accessible to reviewers.
Additional Information
This position is based in Glendale, CA and is offered with a hiring range of $79,400 to $106,400 per year. Final compensation will reflect internal equity and candidate qualifications, and may include a bonus or long-term incentive units in addition to medical and other benefits.
