Job Description
Join Apple in Los Angeles, onsite, as a hands-on Product Designer on the App Store Product Design team. You will research, design, and prototype new user experiences across iOS, Mac, TV, and the web, delivering design mocks, prototypes, production-ready visual assets, and documentation to guide implementation. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional partners and help shape experiences that millions of users encounter every month. This role offers a competitive base pay range of $175,000 to $308,500 per year, with eligible discretionary stock programs, RSUs, and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, plus comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement benefits, discounts on products and services, tuition reimbursement, discretionary bonuses or commissions, and relocation support.

Responsibilities
- Research, design, and prototype new user experiences based on product requirements
- Deliver design mockups, prototypes, production visual assets, and documentation needed for proper implementation
- Communicate effectively and present design ideas within a large team environment
- Collaborate closely with Engineering, Production, Product Marketing, and Senior Management
- Apply extraordinary visual and UI design skills with a focus on user-centered principles, consistency, color use, typography, and subtle details
- Distill complex issues into clean, focused, understandable solutions
- Maintain strong communication and organizational skills
- Demonstrate interest in new technologies such as AI, AR/VR, web, mobile, and other devices
- Be a self-starter who can work independently and manage multiple tasks under minimal supervision
- Create work that will be experienced by millions of people worldwide each month
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Interaction, Graphic Design, Media Arts or equivalent experience
- 4-8 years of design experience in a technical environment
- Excellent online portfolio showcasing UX, UI, and visual design for mobile devices
- Enthusiasm for an iterative design process, inspired by group critique
- Ability to communicate design concepts through sketches and wireframes
- Ability to function independently and in a team environment with strong collaboration skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
- A passion for Apple, its products, and its customers
- Interest in new technologies in AI, AR/VR, web, mobile, and other devices
- Self-starter, self-motivated, able to manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing iOS app experiences from start to finish with familiarity of iOS development
- UI and visual design work for desktop, TV, web, or Apple Vision
- Previous experience in an e-commerce environment
- Strong proficiency in Sketch, Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote and other design tools
- Ability to prototype in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, AfterEffects, or similar tools
- Deep understanding of the Apple design aesthetic, UI, and history
