Product Designer

Actalent is seeking a Contract Product Designer onsite in Quincy, IL to create 3D SolidWorks designs, develop new products, and improve existing equipment with a focus on cost efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Produce precise SolidWorks 3D models and documentation for products based on customer specifications and field quotes.
• Develop new products and refine existing equipment designs to meet performance and cost goals.
• Incorporate cost considerations into design decisions and collaborate with fabrication and assembly to resolve issues.

Requirements

• Proficiency in SolidWorks and other 3D CAD software.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Drafting or Design; mechanical or agricultural engineering is preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience, especially with automotive or agricultural vehicles.
• Experience designing sheet metal components.
• 2D and 3D CAD skills; AutoCAD/SolidWorks proficiency is ideal.
• Enthusiasm for automotive work, repair, and engine-related projects.
• Strong communication and presentation abilities.
