Print Shop Operations & Graphic Design Assistant

Copy Express offers a practical, hands-on role where print shop operations meet graphic design. This onsite position in Woodstock, IL combines customer service, job intake, graphic design, and prepress/print production support, with a strong emphasis on learning across the print workflow. You will work with Adobe Creative Cloud on real projects and gain exposure to the full production process. This is a full-time role with a day shift, and part-time consideration may be possible, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service at the front counter and by phone
• Enter job specifications into print management software
• Prepare, adjust, or create artwork using Adobe Creative Cloud
• Assist with prepress, file setup, and proofing
• Communicate with customers about orders, timelines, and design needs
• Support print production and general shop operations as needed
• Fill in for the graphics department when the designer is unavailable

Requirements

• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office
• Typing speed of at least 40 WPM
• Strong spelling, grammar, and basic math skills
• Excellent attention to detail and communication abilities
• Professional, customer‑service‑oriented demeanor
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a small, fast-paced print shop
