Presentation Art Director

Decca Design is seeking a Presentation Art Director to lead presentation creative from early concept through final delivery. This hybrid role in San Jose, CA helps you translate complex or technical material into clear, engaging slide experiences, while shaping reusable PowerPoint and Google Slides templates. You will also contribute to evolving creative and production best practices, including thoughtful incorporation of AI.

In this full-time position, you’ll manage multiple priorities with a consistent eye for quality, collaborate closely with creative leadership and account teams, and provide clear direction to internal and freelance presentation designers. The goal: presentations that strengthen visual storytelling while staying aligned with client brand guidelines and established visual standards.

Responsibilities

• Own the design and creative direction of presentation projects from concept through completion
• Translate complex or technical content into clear, compelling visual presentations
• Design and develop well-structured, functional PowerPoint and Google Slides templates
• Build strong slide layouts using typography, imagery, composition, visual hierarchy, and thoughtful design
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining high quality and attention to detail
• Conduct image research and create creative edits, revisions, and refinements
• Collaborate with the Creative Director, Associate Creative Directors, Account Managers, and other team members to develop effective creative solutions
• Provide creative direction and feedback to team members and freelance presentation designers as needed
• Ensure all work follows client brand guidelines and established visual standards
• Participate in client meetings and presentations as appropriate
• Contribute to and help evolve Decca’s creative and production best practices, incorporating AI along the way
• Stay current with presentation design trends, tools, and best practices

Requirements

• Strong portfolio demonstrating sophisticated presentation and visual design work
• Expert-level understanding of visual storytelling and the ability to make complex information easy to understand and engaging
• Strong command of typography, layout, composition, imagery, and visual hierarchy
• Advanced proficiency in PowerPoint and Google Slides
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and adapt to changing deadlines
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Strong attention to detail and a high bar for creative quality
• 8+ years of relevant professional experience
• BA/BS in graphic design, visual communications, or a related field

Compensation & Job Details

• $95,000–$110,000 per year
• Full time
• Primarily remote, with occasional on-site meetings in San Jose
