Motion Designer
Job Description
Join Chase’s Digital Customer Experience team in New York, NY, where motion design supports clearer, more usable product experiences across mobile and, when applicable, the web. In this role, you’ll help define and scale Chase’s motion design language by building on existing brand direction and owned assets, ensuring animations work within design systems and accessibility constraints.
What you’ll do
- Assist in defining Chase’s motion design language and shape how it’s applied within technical and accessibility parameters.
- Develop high-quality animation proposals from proof of concept through final execution, highlighting owned brand assets.
- Strengthen UI motion by extending existing brand guidelines and establishing core frameworks that scale design delivery.
- Create motion guidelines for design systems to enable design teams across DCE, Marketing, and Advertising.
- Use motion expertise to simplify complex experiences, keeping them scalable and usable across product design.
- Participate in collaborative critique and support fast-paced delivery while maintaining quality.
What you bring
- 5–8+ years of experience as a motion designer, with an online portfolio that shows multiple projects and direct contributions.
- Expert command of animation principles and modern motion tools, including After Effects, Lottie, Spline, and Cinema 4D.
- Deep experience producing video and motion for native iOS and Android apps.
- Strong layout instincts and visual hierarchy across both mobile and web.
- A solid understanding of design systems, UX, and UI as they relate to product design.
- Proven ability to distill, document, and apply logic to evolve motion design language and frameworks at scale.
- Strong organization and asset-management skills, with high attention to detail throughout production.

Compensation: USD 142,500 - 205,000 per year
Experience: 5 years minimum
