Motion Designer

Plaud is hiring a Motion Designer (San Francisco, CA hybrid) to build animation and video marketing assets that help teams communicate product value across digital and real-world touchpoints.

Responsibilities

• Show how Plaud products and brand are visualized through animation and video across digital and real-world touchpoints
• Produce high-impact marketing assets for campaign key visuals and media, including animations for website, email, social media, events, ads, and digital media channels
• Create visual narratives that translate brand story and complex product features into accessible messaging, using storyboard skills
• Collaborate with product, marketing, and sales teams to support campaigns that drive branding, awareness, and conversion
• Adapt and optimize video content for multiple platforms (websites, social media, and digital media) while maintaining clean, engaging visual effects
• Stay current on design trends and emerging technologies; apply AI video and static image generation when useful

Requirements

• 4 to 5 years of experience creating iconic brand design and animation, ideally with experience working with design teams and stakeholders in both agencies and in-house environments
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in design, visual communication, motion design, video editing, art, or film, with a strong online portfolio showing creative concepts
• Proficiency in Adobe Suite, AfterEffects, Premiere, Photoshop, and AI video generation
• Strong cross-functional collaboration skills, partnering with marketing, product, and management to deliver timely, high-quality design work
• Hands-on, detail-oriented approach; comfortable working in fast-moving, high-visibility environments
• Ability to present and sell design thinking
• Solid grasp of brand identity and visual systems, including templated design workflows
• Advanced conceptual (visual verbal) thinking with a portfolio that supports ideas and execution
• Ability to leverage AI to empower creative workflows

Preferred Qualifications

• 2D motion design experience: independently create 2D motion in Afx, with artful design techniques and aesthetics

• Fast learning of new technologies, especially AI video and image generation
