Job Description

Join a mission-driven design team that prioritizes impact, craft, and collaboration. This onsite Motion Designer role in Costa Mesa, CA offers a path to shape the brand's kinetic visual language across brand and technical storytelling. You will art-direct and execute 2D and 3D motion concepts, collaborate with producers and design leads, and help elevate the brand through polished motion work. Salary ranges from USD 99,000 to 130,000 per year, and the role requires at least three years of professional motion design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Visual development of kinetic text and motion graphics, mission scenes, and animations using both 2D and 3D assets
  • Steer development of visualization techniques and styles
  • Provide clear and constructive feedback during design critiques
  • Contribute to daily design inspiration and discussions
  • Evolve and oversee design explorations and style guides
  • Maintain familiarity with industry standard workflows, processes, and tools
  • Collaborate with the producer, design leads, and departments including marketing and communications

Requirements

  • Minimum of three years of professional experience in Motion Design
  • Portfolio demonstrating proficiency with a range of animation techniques and the ability to translate complex concepts into compelling visuals, plus a refined stylistic point of view
  • Strong grounding in design fundamentals: form, color, composition, typography
  • Technical fluency in 2D and 3D software of your choice
  • A collaborative team player with a distinct aesthetic and passion for bringing concepts to life
  • On-site work in Costa Mesa, CA
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to access to U.S. export controlled information or facilities
