Lead Motion Designer, Media Production Group (Graphics)

Fox Corporation seeks a Senior Lead Motion Designer to guide visual development and animation across FOX News Media projects, mentor motion designers, and ensure brand consistency across platforms. This onsite role is based in New York, NY, with compensation in the range of USD 55 to 73 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Direct the visual development and animation for premium designs across new show packages, redesigns, studio displays, and segments, focusing on building show opens from concept to completion
• Provide rapid-turnaround graphics support for breaking news without sacrificing creative quality
• Mentor and inspire designers and motion artists through constructive feedback and leadership
• Develop and uphold brand guidelines to maintain high standards and consistency across all FOX News Media platforms
• Maintain deep awareness of content to ensure the team produces engaging key art and toolkits across platforms
• Monitor the evolution of competitive networks across all channels
• Anticipate and apply trends in design, branding, broadcast graphics, digital experiences, and visual storytelling

Requirements

• Experience designing and producing for live news or digital environments
• Portfolio showcasing original visual design, conceptual thinking, branding, typography, composition, and creative problem solving
• Proven track record developing and designing broadcast show opens from concept to final execution
• Ability to conceive, develop, and implement bold, innovative creative ideas
• Exceptional typography, layout, and visual design skills with strong storytelling sensitivity
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Advanced proficiency in After Effects and Cinema 4D with the ability to produce polished, broadcast-quality animations and motion systems
• Strong understanding of motion design principles including animation timing, pacing, transitions, and visual hierarchy
• Experience leading a team to execute design work, provide feedback, and meet deadlines
• Ability to take direction and execute independently with minimal supervision
• Thorough knowledge of branding systems and identities
• Project management and organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-pressure news environment with tight deadlines
• Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to shifting priorities and deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree in Design/Communication or equivalent preferred
• Vizrt, video production, UI/UX, and web design experience a plus
