Job Description

AT Distribution LLC is building creative experiences for the Dragon Shield brand, bringing together trade merchandising, retail marketing, and event design under one consistent visual standard. This remote Junior Art Director role leads the hands-on visual execution for campaigns and activations, partnering with the creative team to translate concepts into production-ready design.

Role overview

The Junior Art Director is responsible for developing and executing creative concepts for experimental activations, trade show booths, and event-specific promotional materials. You will help maintain brand consistency across consumer-facing touchpoints while supporting designers through art direction, review cycles, and mentorship.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, describe, and execute creative concepts for experimental activations, trade show booths, and event promotional materials
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and the Branding and Graphics team to ensure visual consistency across all Dragon Shield consumer-facing elements
  • Create B2B and D2R marketing assets, including promotional guides, catalogs, sales sheets, and advertising templates
  • Lead visual concepting by building detailed design plans, including 3D space layouts, mood boards, color palettes, and sketches
  • Coordinate across cross-functional teams, including graphic designers, copywriters, product managers, product designers, and partners in purchasing, marketing, and sales
  • Provide art direction and guidance to designers and other team members to support successful delivery of projects
  • Stay current on design and advertising industry trends and best practices
  • Manage multiple projects at once, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality deliverables
  • Run regular creative reviews to confirm work aligns with brand guidelines and objectives
  • Help foster a collaborative, positive environment that supports creativity and innovation
  • Participate in meetings, brainstorm sessions, workshops, presentations, and work-related travel
  • Manage graphic design processes related to trade merch, events, and team workflows
  • Create art briefs and guidelines for artwork
  • Manage commissions of artwork from freelance artists

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, or other educational backgrounds relevant to the position
  • 5-8+ years of experience in similar roles
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating creative work across multiple mediums
  • Proven leadership with advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and Figma, plus visual storytelling and team management
  • Deep understanding of visual merchandising principles, print production, large-format graphics, and retail consumer behavior
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and strong aesthetic judgment
  • Interest in trading card gaming, with a playful mindset as an advantage
