Job Description

The Graphic Design & Social Media Specialist role at Highland Laboratories focuses on delivering high quality visuals through Adobe Creative Suite while creating and managing social media content, with a 50/50 split between content creation and label/graphic design support.

Mount Angel, OR (onsite)

Compensation

Hourly rate: USD 18-22

Experience

Minimum of 1 year as a Graphic Designer or creative Digital Marketer, preferably with product-based and consumer-facing brands.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement visually compelling designs for digital and print materials.
  • Create, edit, and manage engaging content for social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Design and produce high-quality graphics, illustrations, and layouts using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Lightroom).
  • Plan, schedule, and publish posts, reels, videos, and stories to maintain a consistent and engaging social media presence.
  • Collaborate with the creative team and Chief Revenue Officer to develop and execute social media campaigns aligned with overall marketing strategies.
  • Monitor social media channels, respond to comments and messages, and engage with the online community.
  • Utilize advanced Photoshop skills to work with product imagery and photography, ensuring high-quality visual content.
  • Edit, manage, and create content for e-commerce platforms, especially Amazon, Walmart.com, Faire, and Shopify.
  • Design and manage product labels and packaging to ensure brand consistency and appeal.
  • Design custom graphics and layouts for email marketing campaigns and flows.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Graphic Designer or creative Digital Marketer, preferably with product-based and consumer-facing brands.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Lightroom.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing design skills, successful social media campaigns, or a combination of the two; portfolios demonstrating product label/packaging design work are a bonus. A portfolio must be submitted with your application.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with tools such as Planable, Milanote, LeanKit, Klaviyo, Shopify, and the Microsoft Office Suite is a bonus.
  • Experience in the dietary supplement or natural products industry, or with consumer packaged goods, is a bonus.
