Graphic Design Co-op
Job Description
SHP is seeking a Graphic Design Co-op to support the business services team with design and communications that strengthen internal and external messaging. The role is onsite and focused on producing visual assets, assisting with event needs, and contributing to employer branding and culture initiatives.
Role Overview
In this internship, you will help develop graphics and communication materials for events and digital channels. You will also support employer branding efforts by bringing new creative ideas to execution, while working closely with teams across the organization to understand how design and communication work together to drive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and write content for graphics, presentations, and campaigns supporting both internal and external communications.
- Create visual assets for events, social media, and digital platforms, strengthening design and branding practice.
- Assist with planning and setup for events, ensuring messaging and visuals align and feel on-brand.
- Support employer branding and culture initiatives through creative contributions and execution.
- Collaborate across departments and develop understanding of how design and communications combine to improve engagement.
Required Qualifications
- Junior, Senior, or Graduate student in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and comfort with tools such as Canva for social media content.
- A strong design eye, attention to detail, and interest in learning through the work.

Compensation and Benefits
- Pay starts at $20–$22 per hour.
- For each additional term you return, pay can increase by $1/hour (up to a maximum of $22/hour).
- Graduate students begin at $22/hour.
- SHP covers parking expenses.
Location and Work Model
This co-op is based in SHP’s physical office locations, including Cincinnati, OH (onsite), with other locations listed as Columbus, OH or Greensboro, NC. The role is best suited for candidates who prefer a highly collaborative in-person environment. Working onsite supports stronger day-to-day engagement with peers and project teams, faster decision-making, and mentorship and creativity that arise from shared space.
