Job Description

This hybrid role focuses on designing and maintaining the front-end experience for a statewide website. The position is based in Richmond, Virginia, with a blended in-office and remote schedule (three days in the office and two days teleworking) and offers a starting salary in the range of USD 72,946 to 85,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the ongoing management, coordination, and upkeep of the SCC website, ensuring content and structure remain current.
  • Evaluate the site design and functionality, recommending improvements and upgrades as needed.
  • Administer the content management system and oversee relations with vendors including Terminalfour and SiteImprove.
  • Implement search engine optimization strategies to improve visibility and drive more visitors to the site.
  • Monitor website performance metrics to identify opportunities for enhancement and optimization.
  • Format, update, and publish online content and intranet material in collaboration with Commission staff, using SharePoint as appropriate.
  • Audit and ensure accessibility compliance for the website and intranet in line with applicable laws and standards such as the Virginians with Disabilities Act, VA Information Technology Act, ADA, and Section 508.
  • Respond to user feedback submitted to the SCC webmaster email account in a timely manner.
  • Perform related duties as required.

Compensation and Details

Location: Richmond, Virginia, hybrid work arrangement (three days in office, two teleworking days).
