Responsibilities
As a Footwear and Apparel Graphic Designer II for Nike SB, you will help shape graphic direction across collections, craft narrative concepts, and partner with development, athletes, and cross-functional teams to finalize production details and advance the brand's creative vision.
- From concepting and building narrative to collaborating with development to finalize production details
- Collaborate with athletes to select trims and print applications
- Leverage your skills to contribute to and execute graphic direction, guided by business and consumer insights
- Influence cross-functional teams
- Contribute to the creative vision of performance and lifestyle footwear and apparel
- Cascade critical information across teams
- Communicate graphic concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Design, Art or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
- 2+ years of graphic design experience in an agency, in-house setting, or closely related role in product creation
- Passion for and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture
- Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling
- Ability to adapt to change and balance multiple priorities
- Professional visual and verbal communication skills, and the ability to present design intent effectively to internal and external audiences
- Knowledge of and curiosity to learn new aspects of graphic applications, such as repeat pattern creation, textile printing techniques, and translating designs from digital to physical
- Knowledge of apparel and footwear product creation with basic understanding of product construction
- Proficient in Adobe CC and comfortable working within new digital spaces
- Ability to embrace diverse points of view and foster an inclusive environment
