Job Description

Onsite opportunity in Beaverton, Oregon, focused on color and graphic design for Nike Global Football Footwear across product ranges.

Responsibilities

Create original, industry leading graphic and color concepts for football footwear collections.
Build scalable systems that integrate graphics and color across multiple models and price points.
Develop color palettes, blocking strategies, and visual direction aligned to seasonal narratives and performance insights.
Translate consumer, athlete, and cultural insights into compelling, on brand graphic and color solutions.
Drive the integration of graphics and color into footwear through print applications, materials, finishes, and trims.
Partner with Design, Color, Materials, and Product teams to ensure cohesive and premium product expression.
Lead presentations and communicate design intent across both graphic and color storytelling.
Contribute to the seasonal creative vision and long term expression strategy.
Ensure design excellence while meeting timelines, product requirements, and cost considerations.
Influence and align cross functional teams around creative direction and product storytelling.

Requirements

Portfolio submission demonstrating excellence in graphic design and color application on product, footwear experience preferred; please provide website links or attach a PDF portfolio when you apply.
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Color Design, Product Design, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5+ years of design experience in product creation with demonstrated expertise in graphic design and exposure to color design.
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
Deep understanding of color theory, color application, palette development, and storytelling through color.
Proven excellence across core design disciplines including typography, layout and composition, graphic systems, sketching, ideation, and visual storytelling.
Ability to develop compelling concepts and translate them into impactful product experiences, including applying 2D graphic and color concepts to 3D product applications.
Demonstrated ability to build narrative driven design systems that integrate graphics, color, and product storytelling across collections.
Strong understanding of footwear product creation, materials, manufacturing processes, and the relationship between color, graphics, materials, and form.
Deep knowledge of football culture, athlete insights, consumer trends, and global visual influences.
Strong verbal, visual, and presentation skills with the ability to communicate ideas and influence through storytelling.
Ability to translate insights, trends, and cultural signals into authentic narratives and innovative design solutions.
Thrives in a fast paced, collaborative, and evolving environment while managing multiple priorities.
Passion for design craft, innovation, sport, and pushing creative boundaries.

As a Footwear and Apparel Graphic Designer II for Nike SB, you will help shape graphic direction across collections, craft narrative concepts, and partner with development, athletes, and cross-functional teams to finalize production details and advance the brand's creative vision.

From concepting and building narrative to collaborating with development to finalize production details
Collaborate with athletes to select trims and print applications
Leverage your skills to contribute to and execute graphic direction, guided by business and consumer insights
Influence cross-functional teams
Contribute to the creative vision of performance and lifestyle footwear and apparel
Cascade critical information across teams
Communicate graphic concepts and seasonal initiatives to internal and external audiences

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Design, Art or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
2+ years of graphic design experience in an agency, in-house setting, or closely related role in product creation
Passion for and understanding of current and emerging design trends and visual culture
Ability to translate insights into authentic narratives and visual storytelling
Ability to adapt to change and balance multiple priorities
Professional visual and verbal communication skills, and the ability to present design intent effectively to internal and external audiences
Knowledge of and curiosity to learn new aspects of graphic applications, such as repeat pattern creation, textile printing techniques, and translating designs from digital to physical
Knowledge of apparel and footwear product creation with basic understanding of product construction
Proficient in Adobe CC and comfortable working within new digital spaces
Ability to embrace diverse points of view and foster an inclusive environment
