Job Description

Prime Video Shopping is hiring a Creative Director to set creative direction for franchise consumer products and scale creative operations for Amazon MGM Studios.

Responsibilities

  • Own and protect the creative bar for assigned intellectual properties
  • Develop consumer products style guides and asset systems including compositions, icons, patterns, packaging, color palettes, fonts, and layouts
  • Convert early franchise materials (scripts, set photography, key art) into assets that pitch to prospective licensees and inspire final consumer products
  • Own product development for an assigned base of licensee partners as the single point of contact from concept through approval
  • Review and approve product development submissions against style guides and brand standards
  • Onboard new partners into the approval workflow
  • Lead partner presentations and kick-off meetings
  • Partner with the creative team to move from manual creative to a more scaled operation
  • Provide art direction for main style guides and art packs produced in collaboration with internal designers
  • Contribute to processes that transition routine production to the scaled team
  • Develop a path to produce direct designs through AI tooling
  • Present creative solutions and franchise direction to senior leadership and licensee partners
  • Anticipate design challenges and defend design decisions with clear rationale
  • Resolve conflicting feedback across internal and external stakeholders and move decisions forward
  • Mentor and develop team members
  • Document institutional knowledge
  • Deliver solutions that improve group effectiveness, including championing AI technology use in creative contexts

Requirements

  • 8+ years driving compelling creative strategy and execution in an agency or in-house creative team environment
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and Keynote
  • Experience building cross-functional relationships with product, consumer research, and marketing teams to develop strategy and consumer insights that inform creative execution
  • Experience leading creative development from concept through delivery
  • Experience managing creative work across internal designers, copywriters, and external agencies and freelancers
  • Experience presenting creative concepts to senior executives
  • Experience managing multiple projects and meeting aggressive deadlines
  • In-depth understanding of AI tools plus Photoshop, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Figma

Job Details

  • Location: Culver City, CA (onsite)
  • Salary: USD 141,000 - 190,700 per year
  • Minimum Experience: 8 years
