Creative Director
Job Description
The Creative Director at Falcon s Beyond Global will lead the development of guest-facing attractions, experiences, and environments across theme park lands in Orlando, FL. This role combines creative vision, narrative leadership, and cross-disciplinary collaboration to ensure consistent storytelling and a cohesive guest experience from concept through execution.
Creative Vision and Attraction Narrative Leadership
- Lead the development of attraction narratives in collaboration with IP holders and internal narrative teams.
- Ensure story elements align with brand guidelines and support compelling guest experiences.
- Guide the integration of IP across the attraction lifecycle, from concept through execution.
- Oversee the creation of storyboards, mood boards, key art, and narrative documents that establish and maintain the creative vision.
Visual Direction and Quality Control
- Approve early-phase visual deliverables to confirm alignment with the intended look and feel.
- Collaborate with illustrators and concept artists to define the visual tone for each attraction or land.
- Guide the creative development of marquee and interior signage to support storytelling and guest navigation.
- Maintain awareness of creative assets and current design issues across assigned lands and attractions.
- Review and redline design packages to preserve creative consistency and quality.
Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration Across Attraction Phases
- Provide creative leadership across all phases of attraction development, including queue, preshow, load/unload, main show, and ride systems.
- Assign and manage designers to ensure alignment with the overall creative strategy.
- Participate in “Page Turn” coordination meetings to support cross-disciplinary alignment.
- Review and respond to feedback from internal and external stakeholders (e.g., CRS, ACC).
- Partner with Project Managers to define team roles, responsibilities, and deliverables.
- Participate in daily check-ins with Art Directors, Facility Design Managers, and Project Managers.
Digital Assets and Facility Design Integration
- Collaborate with Unreal Engine teams to define visual quality and creative direction for digital assets across attractions, retail, F&B, and entertainment.
- Review BIM/Revit models with the BIM team to ensure creative intent remains consistent throughout facility design.
Mentorship and Team Leadership
- Provide mentorship and direction to junior creatives and designers.
Required Experience and Skills
- 10+ years of experience in themed entertainment, attraction design, or related creative industries.
- Proven track record leading creative development for large-scale themed environments or attractions.
- Strong storytelling skills and experience working with IP and narrative teams.
- Ability to manage multiple creative workstreams while maintaining alignment across disciplines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Proficiency in visual development tools and platforms, including Adobe Creative Suite, Unreal Engine, and Bluebeam.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit and attraction facility design processes.
