Responsibilities

  • Lead motion design projects end to end across flagship brand initiatives, campaigns, and tier one events, working with independence while keeping leadership aligned.
  • Infuse each workstream with a strong creative point of view to define vision and set a standard for executional excellence.
  • Design and animate directly, providing hands-on leadership for key initiatives.
  • Maintain and evolve the brand motion language, ensuring craft and consistency across events, launches, and core touchpoints; contribute to scalable motion systems, templates, toolkits, and best practices.
  • Manage multiple projects in parallel, maintaining composure and effectiveness under tight deadlines.
  • Capture leadership feedback and translate it into a clear creative path forward.
  • Direct, mentor, and deliver constructive direction to motion designers, freelancers, and agency partners to raise the overall quality of motion output.
  • Collaborate across brand, marketing, product, and creative teams to align motion work with broader storytelling and business goals.
  • Communicate effectively with peers, project management, strategy, senior leadership, and business partners to align stakeholders around a creative vision and make informed decisions.
  • Explore and integrate AI driven tools and techniques to expand possibilities and improve team workflows.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in motion design and creative direction, including leadership of workstreams and directing others. Strong creative point of view with the ability to translate leadership feedback into clear direction.
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong design and typography fundamentals, a range of styles, and diverse project types.
  • Mastery of motion and design principles, timing, keyframes, and visual systems; fluency in speed and value curves.
  • Expert knowledge of tools including After Effects, Cinema 4D, Redshift, and Figma, with familiarity with modern motion workflows.
  • Experience working on tier-one brand moments such as global events, major campaigns, or product launches.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to develop project and initiative presentations from strategy to execution; capable of aligning stakeholders around a creative vision and asking smart questions that move work forward.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in parallel, prioritize effectively, and deliver under pressure with strong time management.
  • Demonstrated people management experience, coaching and developing team members, and directing contractors and external agencies.
  • Experience exploring or integrating AI into creative processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
